SALKANTAY TREK SEMI AUTOMATIC 4 DAYS TO MACHUPICCHU

This is one of the new and cheap okidoki options that allows you to enjoy the walk at your own pace but already having your lodging and food ready and your ticket to Machupicchu with the option or circuit that we had to reserve, checking availability at the time of your reservation (for your visit to Machupicchu) and your transportation back to Cusco by bus.

(and they do not need to bring a sleeping bag because all the accommodations have covers or blankets)

In this service you do not have a Guide and also in this service you do not have horses or mules to transport your things……. for this reason you do not need to carry many things for the whole trek only what is necessary because you have to take them.

The base of the Salkantay Okidoki camp is the best located in the entire valley because it allows you to connect directly with nature and the mountains (and also highly recommended for mystical tourism because it makes it possible to concentrate and connect with the natural elements as it is far from the Local people).

for your accommodation you have 2 options the shared dormitories and the sky lodges these options are only for the first camp because for the second camp they are accommodations with 2 or 3 beds

DAY 1: CUSCO –MOLLEPATA —SORAYPAMPA

This day we start early at 4:30 am with the pick up from your hotels if they are accessible by bus or near the center of the Plaza de Cusco or we can meet in the Plaza Armas de Cusco and then go for 2 hours by bus to the town from Mollepata (admission not included to the community and humantay lagoon 20 soles) where we will have breakfast included and a break for 30 minutes and then go for 1 hour to the Soraypampa bus stop and then walk for 40 minutes until we reach the base of okidoki camp and make your accommodation have your lunch and then make your ascent of 1 hour 30 minutes to the humantay lake to enjoy without many people because all the groups that visit the lagoon in the 1 day tour are returning to cusco and after their visit to the lagoon you will return to the okidoki base camp to enjoy the views of nature and the salkantay mountain in front of you then have your dinner.

DAY 2: SORAYPAMPA —SALKANTAY PASS —CHAULLAY

This day is the longest. We start early with breakfast and then we give you a packed lunch for your hike. Ascent time approximately 4 hours to the top of the mountain or Salkantay pass and then you make a descent of approximately 5 hours to the second Chaullay camp where they will have their dinner (we will include the extra services that this community offers but they are not so good a local shower almost hot and wifi signal sometimes good).

DAY 3 CHAULLAY —LOCAL BUS TO LUCMABAMBA —LLACTAPATA ARCHAEOLOGICAL ZONE — HYDROELECTRIC POWER—AGUAS CALIENTES (BASIC PRIVATE HOSTEL)

We start with an early breakfast and then you will take a local transport (NOT INCLUDED price from 25 soles to 30 soles) to go to the community of lucmabamba start of your walk to reach the archaeological center and panoramic viewpoint of llactapata ascent time 2 hours 30 minutes approximately then a descent of approximately 2 hours until reaching the hydroelectric where they can have their lunch (NOT INCLUDED price 10 soles) then they start their walk again to the town of Aguas Calientes approximately 3 hours basic hostel accommodation and many tourist restaurants can have their dinner and local (NOT INCLUDED 15 soles or 20 soles)

DAY 4: AGUAS CALIENTES  –MACHUPICCHU —-HYDROELECTRIC

They start early at 4:30 a.m. to go up to Machupicchu but this depends on the time of entry or visit they have for Machupicchu. The time of their visit to Machupicchu is approximately 3 hours and then they make their descent towards the hydroelectric for approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes to take Your bus to Cusco, bus departure at 2:30 pm Arrival in Cusco at approximately 10:30 pm.

but if your time of entry to Machupicchu is later, like 9 am or 10 am or later, you have to stay one more night because you will not be able to take the hydroelectric return bus because the bus leaves at 2:30 pm and you will not have getting to take this bus for this reason you have to stay one more night in the town of aguas calientes and that night is not included you can search the town for many hostel options and the next day take the return bus from the hydroelectric included.

but if you decide to stay one more night and return the next day by bus you have to say it in advance because the changes are not made the same day or at the last minute you simply lose your transport because it is not the okidoki transport they are companies that provide this service
