Trip Itinerary - Caminata Choquequirao a Machupicchu 7 dias
El primer día comienza muy temprano con el recojo de sus albergues entre las 3:30 a. m. y las 4:00 a. m. para luego dirigirnos al pueblo de Cachora (2800 m. de altitud) y tomar un descanso o desayuno si lo desean (no incluido). Continuaremos 30 minutos más hasta el inicio de la caminata a Capulilloc (2900 m. de altitud, a 4 horas de Cusco).
Donde tendremos una vista panorámica del cañón del Apurímac y veremos nuestro primer objetivo, el sitio arqueológico de Choquequirao, a lo lejos. Allí también tendremos mulas y burros para transportar nuestro equipo de viaje: carpas, sacos de dormir, colchonetas o colchonetas inflables, sus pertenencias personales y comida para toda la caminata.
Comenzamos con un descenso por el cañón del Apurímac, atravesando las pequeñas comunidades de Cocamasana y Chiquisca (lugar de almuerzo) en la parte baja del valle.
El clima es cálido y soleado durante la estación seca. Luego, continuamos descendiendo durante 30 minutos más hasta la playa Rosalina (1550 m). Después, cruzamos el río Apurímac por el puente Rosalina y comenzamos el ascenso de 2 horas hasta nuestro campamento Santa Rosa (2100 m).
Distancia de caminata: 14 km (aproximadamente 8 horas).

Nos despertamos a las 5:00 a. m. para desayunar y comenzar nuestra caminata hacia Maranpata. El camino zigzaguea durante aproximadamente 3 horas, donde podremos apreciar el Cañón del Apurímac y las montañas que rodean la maravilla de Choquequirao. Luego, continuaremos a través de un hermoso bosque andino durante aproximadamente 2 horas hasta nuestro primer destino, Choquequirao (altitud 3055 m), donde acamparemos en terrazas acondicionadas para los hermosos campamentos, lugar donde almorzaremos y descansaremos del segundo día.
Después del almuerzo, visitaremos y exploraremos el complejo arqueológico de Choquequirao con nuestro guía después de la cena.
Distancia de caminata: 12 km – 5 horas aproximadamente.


Después del desayuno, exploraremos más a fondo Choquequirao y disfrutaremos de los primeros rayos del sol. Continuaremos nuestro recorrido y caminaremos por un bosque húmedo con una hermosa vegetación de plantas nativas como el bambú y flores como orquídeas y begonias. Si tenemos suerte, podremos avistar al famoso oso andino o oso de los antojos. Caminaremos 1 hora y 30 minutos hasta llegar a la parte alta de Choquequirao. Luego, haremos un descenso de 3 horas hasta Río Blanco (1990 m), donde disfrutaremos de un almuerzo muy refrescante. Luego, realizaremos una empinada y exigente subida de 3 horas hasta llegar al tercer maizal (3000 m), donde disfrutaremos de la vista de las montañas y valles que rodean Choquirao y cenaremos.

Nos despertamos a las 6:00 a. m. y, después del desayuno, iniciamos una caminata de ascenso de 4 a 5 horas a través de un bosque húmedo con hermosa vegetación hasta llegar a Minas Victoria (4150 msnm). Luego, descenderemos durante un promedio de 2 horas o menos hasta nuestro campamento en Yanama, una comunidad andina (4000 msnm).


Este es un día de descanso y relajación. Nos levantamos a las 6:00 a. m. después del desayuno y nos despedimos de los arrieros y mulas, dándoles su agradecimiento personal (la propina no está incluida). Luego, alistamos nuestras cosas personales y equipo de viaje para tomar un transporte local hasta el pueblo de Santa Teresa (1810 m.s.n.m.), con una duración de 3 horas, donde almorzaremos y luego disfrutaremos de los baños termales del lugar. Cena y campamento.


Después del desayuno, nos despediremos de nuestros chefs y les daremos una propina por sus deliciosos platos. Después, tomaremos un autobús local de 50 minutos hasta Lucmabamba (2000 m de altitud).
Punto de partida de nuestra caminata cuesta arriba de aproximadamente 3 horas o menos hasta llegar a la zona arqueológica de Llactapata (2700 m de altitud), donde disfrutaremos de la vista panorámica del lugar y veremos Machu Picchu a lo lejos. Luego, ascenderemos aproximadamente 2 horas y 30 minutos hasta llegar al lugar de descanso de la central hidroeléctrica.
Donde almorzaremos y luego caminaremos 3 horas más por el valle del río Urubamba hasta llegar al albergue del pueblo de Aguas Calientes.





Nos despertamos muy temprano 4:30 am y poder tomar nuestro bus a Machu Picchu y ver el amanecer para luego explorar la ciudadela Inca de Machupicchu con nuestro guía y luego de verla y disfrutarla tomaremos un bus de bajada hasta el pueblo de Aguas Calientes, despedida del Guía y su agradecimiento personal al guía la propina no está incluida y luego el tren hasta el pueblo de Ollantaytambo y un bus hasta la ciudad del Cusco Plaza San Francisco centro.
