Salkantay Trek + Inka Trail to Machu Picchu

Day-1: Cusco – Mollepata – Challacancha – Soraypampa – Lake Humantay – Salkantay — distance 12 km (5 hours travel)
We will pick you up from your hotel between 4:20a.m. to 4:50a.m. then we will drive to the town of Mollepata which is located at a height of 2900mt-9514ft which is at a distance of 2 hours approximately from Cusco where We will take a rest for about 20 minutes. Then we will continue our journey towards the place of challacancha which is the beginning of the walk that has as a height 3600mt-11500ft. Then we will have approximately 3 hours of travel until arriving at the base of the camp called soraypampa (sky lodge salkantay okidoki) that has as height 3912mt -12834ft, where we will have a lunch enjoying the panoramic view of the mountains and its geography as -the snowy of humantay 4200mt -13779ft and also the snowfall of the salkantay 6271mt -20575ft after a rest we will make an acenso for one hour 30 minutes towards the lagoon of humantay and then we will return to the base of the camp where we will have the time of the tea and also the dinner.

Day-2: Soraypampa -Salkantay Pass – Huayrapunku – Chaullay – Salkantay — distance 22 klm (9 hours travel)
This is the most difficult day, for this reason we wake up at 5:00am and breakfast will be 5:30am our walk will start at 6:00am, to make an acenso for about 3 to 4 hours to reach the passage of salkantay 4630mt -15190ft, where we will have a traditional Andean ceremony with the whole group, then we will make a descent to the place of huayramachay 3912mt-12834ft where we will have a lunch and then we will continue for 3 more hours towards the second camp Chaullay -2900 mt-9514feet
DAY-3: Chaullay – Playa Sahuayo — Hidroelectrica – Aguas Calientes town hostel (distance 25km – 7 hours approximately)
We will start the day at 6:00a.m. and have breakfast at 6:30a.m., then we will start the walk in a high jungle with a very beautiful geography of rivers, waterfalls where we can appreciate the flora and fauna of this place such as orchids, coffee and coca plantations, fruit trees, bananas, papaya, avocado, passion fruit, and birds such as hummingbirds, parrots, and cock of the rock, etc. To get to Sahuayo beach 2064mt– 6771ft– where we will have lunch and then we will have a local transport (transportation included for day 3, from sahuayaco beach place of armuerzo to the hydroelectric plant start of the walk to get to town of aguas calientes 10 dollars per person) of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to the hydroelectric plant where we will start again our walk of approximately 3 hours to the town of Aguas Calientes or also known as the town of Machu Picchu 2000mt where we will have our accommodation in a hostel and we will also have dinner in a restaurant then we will rest because the next day will be the special day of the visit to Machu Picchu.
DAY-4: Pueblo of Aguas Calientes – KM 104 Chachabamba – Wiñayhuayna – Sun Gate – Machupicchu – Hostel pueblo Aguas Calientes
This day we start with a breakfast in our hostel at 5:30am to then start our walk for 1 hour 30 minutes approximately following the river up until we reach our start of the trek called chachabamba KM 104 where we register to start the original inka trail where we can Appreciate the flora and fauna and we will visit the archaeological zone of Chachabamba of ascent and then we will take a walk of approximately 3 hours until we reach the archaeological site of Wiñayhuayna of impressive Inka architecture and this place is the best archaeological site of all the Inca trail to then do an exploration with our guide and then have lunch enjoying the mountains and the Urubamba valley and then start with the walk again for 1 hour 30 minutes more until we reach the Sun Gate where we will have the best panoramic views of Machupicchu and then we will make a descent for 1 hour to the citadel of machu picchu and take the picture of the postcard (but we will not be able to visit or do the exploration of Machupicchu because the government regulations do not allow it) we will do this exploration or visit the next day, that is, we will be 2 days or 2 times in Machupicchu) Then we will do a descent walk for 1 hour 30 minutes until arrive at the town of Aguas calientes (pueblo machu picchu) to make our accommodation in the hostel you can have dinner (this dinner is not included). and have as an option the hot springs that are not included

DAY-5: Hostel Pueblo Aguas Calientes – Machupicchu
We start very early at 4:30am with a walk of 1 hour 30 minutes to reach Machu Picchu and have our exploration with our guide in the circuit provided by the government for 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours in machu piccho.
TRAVEL PLAN RETURNING WITH THE BUS OPTION AFTER MACHUPICCHU
Day-5: Aguas Calientes – inka citadel of Machu Picchu — distance 5 klm (1 hour ½ travel)
This day we will start very early 4:00am the first part of the trip is flat for ½ hour and for 1 hour is ascent toward the machupicchu where we will arrive at approximately 6am to be able to see the sunrise and have the exploration of the machupicchu with Our guide for an average of 2 to 3 hours approximately, it is the new government regulation due to the pandemic that occurred, but you will have a guide for 4 days who will be informing you and giving you good Options for your visit to the inka citadel of Machu Picchu.
Then from 10:30 am we have to leave the Inka citadel of Machu Picchu to start our walk for 3 more hours towards the hydroelectric where we will board our bus to return to Cusco.
It includes the return by bus from the hydroelectric at 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and arriving in Cusco between 10:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. (approximately 7 hours).

TRAVEL NOTE SALKANTAY:
the permit we have for this option is for the inka trail and it is different because it allows us to visit machupicchu 2 times machupicchu but if we want to reserve the huaynapicchu mountain or the machupicchu mountain we have to pay for a new ticket that the price is 60 dollars per person and you have to book it well in advance and checking the availability of the moment.
- first option: the inka trail has a special permit from the government and it is impossible to add the option of huaynapicchu mountain or machupicchu mountain to the inka trail permit.
